OnePlus 5's alleged camera samples leaked online

NEW DELHI: Taiwanese smartphone maker OnePlus has so far been largely mum on its alleged upcoming flagship OnePlus 5. Now some alleged camera samples claimed to be clicked from the smartphone have surfaced online. The true-tech.net website has shared four images that is said to be shot with the upcoming OnePlus 5.

The EXIF data of the images show that they have been clicked using a device number A5000, which falls in line with the device numbers of previous OnePlus models. For reference, the OnePlus 3 came with A3000 number. Also, the location details mentioned suggests the images were taken in Shenzen, China, the headquarters of OnePlus.

Looking at the images and the blurring effect used in them, it appears that the OnePlus 5 will sport a dual-camera setup. It is widely rumoured that the OnePlus 5 could feature a dual-rear camera setup, but nothing is concrete as of yet. It is being said that while one of the lenses could capture wide-angle shots to get more depth in images.

It is worth pointing out that OnePlus has not yet given any hint of launching the OnePlus 5 anytime soon. In addition, the EXIF data of the image can also be faked so it is not for sure if the shots were captured by the OnePlus 5.

According to latest rumours doing the rounds on the web, the upcoming OnePlus flagship could sport minimal bezels, offering better screen-to-body ratio. Speculations also suggest that the handset will be missing out on the fingerprint embedded button on front, similar to what we saw in the Samsung Galaxy S8.
